A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of teaching a little photography lesson to Finley’s Brownie Troop. I set-up my backdrop and off-camera flash (it was already dark out) and after a little talk and instruction, I let them take pictures of each other with my D700 camera and a 50mm, 1.4 lens. Don’t worry, they had a camera strap on and I was supporting the camera was helping them focus on their subject’s eye and snap a picture. I was totally blown away by the results. They had such fun posing for each other. Being silly and serious. Below are some of the portraits, the pairs took pictures of each other. The only think I did was turn them black and white and stretched the backdrop in a few instances in Photoshop.
Didn’t they do an amazing job??? I love teaching and working with kids, especially girls, and helping them see the beauty and creativity within themselves and others.
KimThese are so cute! Love it and I would’ve never guess you used flash!
